The Transportation Associate will have the ability to support international Global Logistics activities. Some of the responsibilities include: providing tracing and tracking status updates to customers, conducting freight bill audits and approvals and preparing international and domestic shipping documents. They will also be responsible for Maintaining training for Department of Transportation (DOT),Import,Export,CTPAT, HAZMAT and have a solid understanding for Import and Export requirements.
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years of related experience working in an international shipping, transportation or logistics environment.
- Familiar with various international modes of transport (i.e. Air, Ocean, Truckloads, LTC, Rail, etc.
- Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiar with relevant systems and applications (i.e. SAP or other large scale ERP systems)
-Knowledge of Export Compliance (be familiar with AES, ITAR, BIS)
-Experience with Export documentation: commercial invoices, SLI, Packing invoices, Country of Orgin)
-Must have international experience in Logistics
-Ability to track and chase shipments
-Familiar with NAFTA (crossing borders)
-Understanding import/export requirements
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Experience in the Aerospace industry is a huge a plus.
-Knowledge of CTPAT is helpful
