Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, as Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain sourcing strategies, leading key contract negotiations with strategic supplier performance reviews. Candidate will optimize the supplier base with a concentration on developing global, regional, and local strategies designed to achieve organizational objectives including costs, quality and delivery. This position will be responsible for the selection and management of a flexible supplier based for the Supply Chain group. Finally, they will provide leadership and direction for a new technology and support supplier involvement in the design and development of products.
*Provide leadership in a fast-paced, multi-site, matrix environment to ensure expectations are exceeded relative to delivery, quality, cost, inventory, and growth objectives
*Develop and implement aggressive material cost and inventory reduction targets using a strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis
*Select and develop a supply base with the necessary skills to support strategies in the materials area
*Establish a global supply base to provide a product that meets annual quality, delivery, and cost expectations
*Support the negotiation and supplier selection process to facilitate make/buy objectives
*Provide in-depth material management expertise to achieve world-class performance levels within the supply chain
*Lead interaction between suppliers and Engineering to drive total cost productivity through concise and clear specifications that meet identified needs
*Selection and removal of suppliers in support of performance objectives, or manufacturing strategies
*Perform other duties as assigned
*Bachelors level degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics, Procurement, or Materials Mangement with at least 6 years of Supply Chain Management and purchasing experience in Aerospace.
*Minimum of 10 years of experience in lieu of above degree.
*Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively interact at various levels within an organization with a logical and organized approach.
*Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience with, lean manufacturing systems or Six Sigma
*Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis
*Intimate knowledge of ERP configuration, manufacturing processes and systems
*Strong understanding of the make/buy process, FAI and extensive experience with an ERP system
*Demonstrated experience in establishing new suppliers and the documentation and approvals required by OEMs
*Previous international sourcing experience and/or strong marketplace understanding
*Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and cross-functional teams
*Strategic planning/thinking skills, coupled with analytical and execution skills
*Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast paced, matrix environment satisfying multiple customers
*Successful candidates must meet requirements with ITAR and CCGP
Successful candidate must be a US person and be able to pass ITAR clearance.
