UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. Provide design leadership for large, complex BCS and / or electric braking programs by developing system architectures and system requirements that will meet customer and regulatory requirements. Perform or oversee system analyses required to assure system design will function as intended and be safe and reliable. Review component requirements and designs to assure system performance and safety. Develop technical proposals, negotiate, and finalize requirements with OEM's. Develop and implement strategies to compete and win new business.
Bachelors Degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Computer Engineering, or equivalent BS degree and ten (10) years engineering experience with at least five (5) years aircraft brake control engineering experience, other aircraft hydro-mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems engineering experience or MS and five (5) years aircraft brake control engineering experience, other aircraft hydro-mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems engineering experience. Use of software based requirements management system such as DOORS. Highly developed skills in the areas of requirements development, allocation, and validation/verification. Ability to apply SAE ARP 4754, ARP 4761, DO-178, DO-254 and FAR 25.1309 requirements and guidance to system development. Proficient communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to make closure on tasks in a multiple constraint environment.
Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
MS in Electrical, Systems, Aerospace/Mechanical or Computer Engineering and over 10 (ten) years aircraft brake control engineering experience or similar aircraft hydro-mechanical or electro-mechanical systems engineering experience. Leadership of a successful certification of an aircraft system. Experience with software development and certification processes. Fluent with civil aircraft systems certification requirements and processes. INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional.
