UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. Conducts surveillance of operations to ensure compliance is being met at all stages of the overhaul process (Includes Preventative Maintenance and leading First Article evaluations)
Point of Contact for Regulatory Authorities and external customers regarding system compliance (e.g. audits). Responsible to report on audit findings in a timely manner.
Prepares revisions to regulatory documents including Delegation of Authority, Repair Station Manual, Employee Summaries, and Employee Rosters.
Ensures non-conforming product is properly identified, segregated, reviewed, and disposed in accordance with customer requirements
Supervise Inspectors (Receiving, NDI, Final) with regard to daily job assignments and inspection criteria. Train personnel on NDI related tools and fixtures, record management, and Inspection Protocol as directed by respective Operating Procedures.
Coordinates and maintains the Quality Management System and associated record maintenance including review and approval of Operating Procedures and Shop Practices. Prepares and leads all Quality Management Reviews.
Point of Contact for internal customers (e.g. Customer Support Engineers, Customer Support Coordinators, Field Technicians) to resolve customer/fleet specific technical issues, execute special project requests or field evaluations.
Maintains all calibration records of precision test equipment and support tools
Reviews, maintains, and distributes all pertinent technical documentation: CMMs, SBs, SLs, regulatory publications, customer specifications, etc. Updates the business system to reflect customer approval of technical documents.
For walk-in business, obtains customer approval of Standard Service (OP-01) forms
Controls and safeguards inspection stamps, including the Master Inspection Stamp Log
Evaluates incoming customer returns including warranty claims and damaged (quarantined) product. Fills out Component Disposition Reports as required. Manages the Quarantine area. Maintains Delivered Quality metric.
Manages the Quality Action Reporting program to ensure proper root-cause analysis and corrective/ preventive actions are implemented to address non-conformances.
Manages the local Approved Supplier Program
Reviews final inspection results; maintains First Pass Yield metric

NDT experience in any of the following: Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic
Quality background with experience in root cause and CAPA
