UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. This position manages all aspects of quality functions for the value stream including inspection, records, site audits and FAA compliance. Provides leadership and direction for QA staff and various levels of inspectors. Maintains and improves a quality system which ensures compliance to regulatory, customer and corporate requirements. As a member of the Value Stream Staff, provides Leadership for the strategic direction and improvement of the business. Drives improvement in key business metrics including CoPQ, Delivered Quality and Customer Quality Scorecards. Leads and coaches relentless root cause corrective action and the effective use of other quality tools in all these areas.
Bachelor¿s degree is required preferrably in Quality Management, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience, in manufacturing (preferably in aerospace) with at least five years¿ experience in a leadership role.
-Strong written, verbal and presentation skills are essential.
-Strong understanding and leadership of ISO900 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems (QMS)
-Proven ability to apply measurement, analysis and CI tools to create lasting operational improvements.
-Demonstrated experience with customer focused activities and relationship development.
-Able to communicate cross-functionally at all levels of the business - internally and externally.
-Strategic planning and development tools such as policy deployment..
-Experience in an FAA regulated environment preferred.
-Must meet citizenship guidelines as defined by ITAR regulations.
