Global IT Procurement/Asset Manager

In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.


-Lead and drive cost reduction initiatives associated with IT, Telecom, and Multi-functional devices to achieve annual goals for non product cost savings. -Manage a small team responsible for Global IT Procurement and Asset Management for all of UTAS. Responsibilities include review, negotiate and approve approximately 900 IT contracts annually as well as oversee IT spend and billing, SAP purchases and IT/Telecom hardware assets, estimated to be 30,000. -Lead IT strategic sourcing RFPs and RFI¿s, invoice reconciliation, PO creation, vendor management and implement/maintain the telecom bill management system. Ensure all needed IT / Telecom contracts are negotiated and established to support the UTAS business in a timely manner. -Maintain IT related contracts in the Global Contract Lifecycle Management (GCLM) system to house all IT contracts, create IT alerts for contract renewals, and oversee contract negotiation workflows. -IT procurement resource for acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and divestitures. -Lead annual Policy Deployment (PDPR) session and conducts regular meetings sharing with the group the progress associated with each goal and objective -The ideal candidate must have a high energy level, high project management skills, high analytical skills, strong work orientation, negotiation skills, and well organized. They should also be able to apply ACE principles/tools to manage processes - ensuring continuous improvement in the programs, and benchmarking best practices enhancing Customer Satisfaction at all levels. -Other responsibilities as assigned by manager


-Bachelor¿s Degree in Business; MBA preferred -10 years IT procurement and/or Supply Chain Management experience and/or Project Management experience on complex initiatives -Other areas of proficiency software licensing, legal analysis, financial analysis, vendor relationship-building and management, strategic sourcing, telecom, professional services, outsourcing, IT asset management, materials management -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (MS Project, Word, Excel, Power Point) -ACE Associate level (preferred)

Requirements for this position are strong communication and problem solving skills, ability to handle multiple and changing priorities, the ability to work closely with high volumes of internal & external customers, interaction with SBU¿s within UTAS & UTC Management, and General Procurement Suppliers. Over the next two years as Goodrich assets are retired and managed by outsourced IT providers, the asset management responsibilities for this position will diminish.
