A key contributor to the development and modification of prototypes and able to assist engineers with testing and debugging of designs.

Build circuit card assemblies, cables and test racks to assemble automated test equipment utilized for both informal and formal testing of electronic products.

Read and comprehend: blue prints, work orders, production drawings and sample assemblies. Must be able to receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

Independently inspect own work for in process defects against authority data such as drawings and assembly specifications.

Troubleshoot and repair manual and automated electronic test equipment.

Perform upgrades to test equipment, computer hardware and network support systems while maintaining document control procedures.

Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, solders, cements, press fits, and performs alignment of parts in specified relationship to each other including use of jigs, fixtures, or other holding device.

Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, PCBs, sockets, on chassis panels and installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.

Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.

Maintains accurate records of assembly work and inspections performed.

Proactively identifies process improvement opportunities necessary for efficient and compliant manufacturing.

Orders and maintains inventory of replacement parts for electronic equipment; works with vendors to obtain pricing and availability of needed parts.

Applies lean manufacturing principles and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
Actively demonstrates 5S lean concepts.

Bending, stretching and lifting may be required up to 50 pounds.

Ergo: May require: Sustained standing and sitting, reaching, prolonged head and neck positioning, Finger dexterity and manipulation

PPE: Position requires use of safety eye wear, hearing protection and related attire.


Minimum AA degree in Electronics and 3 years minimum experience in the repair, maintenance and operation of aerospace electronic equipment and/or working in an Engineering Lab environment on electronic equipment Required:
IPC A 610 Certification and J-Std-001 Certification

Must have Fine Pitch soldering experience and certification

Familiarity with National Instruments PXI Chassis or similar modular test equipment systems a plus

Electromechanical theory and practices; tools, materials, and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.

Willing to obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform job

Mechanical ability, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to build various assemblies using drawings and instructions

Able to use various types of hand tools and hand-held power tools.

Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet production schedules and quality requirements.

Follow all safety and quality standards.

Must display excellent teamwork and problem solving skills

Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills.

Good computer skills in MS Office applications.

Continuous improvement experience including demonstrated successes

Experience with LabView, Visual Basic, or equivalent test software programming language or tools.

Experience with electrical, and electro┬┐mechanical aerospace manufacturing

Experience working in new product development

Experience in a business running SAP

Experience working in an AS9100 Quality Management System environment
