UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.
Strategic Leadership Responsibilities:
Participates in the planning, development and on-going review of the business MRO strategic plan
Provides leadership, direction and administration to all aspects of the business activities to ensure compliance with business objectives while fostering commitment to quality improvement, customer service and positive employee relations
Maintains current and extensive knowledge of major developments in the industry
Provide strategic leadership and overall guidance to the operations of 7 repair stations (3 international; 4 domestic). These sites provide high volume, quick TAT operations supporting airline customers worldwide; strategic assessment regarding locations of MRO sites
Potential additional sites in Japan and/or Middle East
Staffs repair station/service center with qualified personnel
Responsible for the professional growth and development of all assigned personnel
Conducts timely performance evaluations and gives regular feedback to staff
Responsible for hiring/discipline/termination of assigned staff and operational metrics on efficiency of MRO sites
Establishes and maintains business systems and support to provide timely management information
Generate and deliver presentations to Senior management on key Improvement Target metrics
Establishes and maintains efficient operational procedures
Develops and adheres to operating budgets, annually and three-year, and reports variance activity on a monthly basis
Develops and maintains three-year capital plan
Responsible for providing adequate facilities, equipment and material
Responsible for compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturers¿ recommendations
Supports Process Improvement teams and Process Improvement philosophy & ACE
Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 7 years related experience,and minimum of 5 years management experience
Implementing and developing systems and processes in an ERP environment
Demonstrated knowledge of global operations, cultural diversity and best practices
Demonstrated success in developing both strategic and tactical plans and carrying through to successful execution.
Advanced analytical skills including business and financial analysis
Knowledge in developing solutions of high problem levels impacting customers, suppliers, and organizational profitability
Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
