UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are also a major supplier to international space programs.
In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.
Become a resident WBS expert and consultant in ACE operating system and CI. Provide support and guidance on ACE Assessment process, Kaizen events and Six Sigma Projects. Develop and mentor ACE leaders, ACE pilots , Tool Champions guiding them through ACE certifications (Associate, Practitioner and Master).Plan, Lead and facilitate Kaizen teams: complete event planning, perform pre-work and facilitate team, support event closure. Follow-up on Kaizen events and assessment plan to Macro/ACE plans to prevent backsliding. Take primary responsibility for ACE with some guidance from ACE director. Support ACE deployment using ACE 12.0, Lean daily management, QCPC, MFA, and RRCA. Become a passionate ACE advocate in leading and implementing organizational changes through out the organization. Complete ACE/CI projects that lead to improved business results (Flow and linkage changes, Kaikaku implementation, implementation of Pull system and Lean transformation). Plan, Lead and facilitate CI projects teams (in manufacturing, as well as, non-manufacturing/business processes). Utilize Macro planning and Value Stream mapping to develop future state CI plans. Assess ACE/CI initiatives and provide input and recommendation on future activities regarding employees and leadership development. Develop and mentor others to become leaders in ACE/CI principles.
Three (3) years varied experience, including successful implementation of CI, leading of projects, developing and mentoring leadership, leading others, training or participating in continuous improvement activities; operations, active participation in team or improvement activities.
Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal skills in group settings where there may be resistance to change. Experience in being a change agent.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead, facilitate and motivate teams; has a bias for action and sense of urgency to obtain results; active listener.
Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Project Management certification
Five(5) years related experience
Previous 6 Sigma experience,
Lean skills and the ability to learn and apply new concepts and keep current with state of the art techniques. Experience in manufacturing and non-manufacturing process improvement.
