Cabinet Builder

Responsibilities

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 6:00am to 2:45pm

Develop skills to support and adapt to all Aircraft Furniture producing criteria.

Reads and interprets Manufacturer's blue prints/drawings then utilizes hand and power tools to build Customized Aircraft Interior Cabinetry (Galleys, Closets, Side Ledges and Refreshment Centers.)

Process involves fabricating products utilizing machined ATR panels, small assemblies, application of wood veneers and other laminates to product surfaces.

Test and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skilled and Experienced in Cabinet Building

Aircraft cabinet building experience.

Ability to read dimensions in both decimals and fractions.

Exhibit mechanical and physical coordination to perform basic tasks.

Exhibit ability to learn and adapt to all criteria supporting the manufacturing of aircraft furniture.

Achieve an acceptable level of recommended intermediate print reading skills and customer spec interpretation with assistance.

Develop ability to figure basic dimensions from station lines, butt lines and water lines without assistance.

Exhibit ability to process panels and small assemblies as instructed by supervisor or foreman.

Learn basic procedures of furniture construction and exhibit ability to construct basic fabrications.

Possess ability to file laminate properly and efficiently.

Show willingness to work with others when contributing to projects in process with other co-workers.

Understand and utilize all functions of shop orders or job packets without prompting or assistance.

Accurately identify and apply inserts and fasteners to panel applications without assistance.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
